Hello new arrivals to Calypso. I travel the surface of the planet to earn a living while hunting. I also like to gather information/knowledge about the universe and it's dynamics, and as in real life I like to share that information as well :D
I landed on Calypso in October 2006 and was lucky enough to find a good mentor. I started out as a non-depositor, but found my ways, built up trust in the universe and started to do moderate monthly deposits after a while. 'Hey, it's just entertainment! That's worth a few PED!' ;) I graduated in rifle after half a year or so, i had a bit of a slow start...
I am a Dutch guy 35 years old, working as a project manager for an IT firm and am online (in Entropia) nearly every day in an attempt to skill up! Besides the virtual universe i like to sail (as instructor, racing other yachts and cruising my own boat) and to do some rock climbing, both indoor and outside.
My approach to the game is to work as economically as possible while maintaining a decent skill rate. I have found a way to hunt with profit, though this may not work for everyone. I am part of one of the larger societies and enjoy the social interaction both within the soc and between other avatars, i also think the social bit is an important aspect to the game and to your success within it.
What can you expect
I am a really nice guy ;) reasonably skilled in hunting, but also in mining and crafting. My main profession is hunting (and will be for a while). I will help you whereever i can with my knowledge and my skills/gear. I am online around 5 days per week and i'll give you my real life contact details for easy communication when i'm not in-game. I will introduce you to my soc (if you like) and respect all choices you make.
What do i expect
I only take up disciples of 18 years or older (i have some experience with this)
I do not expect a lot from you, I just hope we can have some fun in-game!
